Alcoholism During the Holidays

The holiday season is typically a stressful time of year for people who have addicted loved ones. Although this post is focused on people with an addiction, many of the tips apply to family members who have addicted loved ones (particularly the tips that encourage people to seek more social support). You can also use some of the tips to create opportunities for sobriety for your addicted loved one (e.g., planning or attending events that are kid-oriented and don’t involve alcohol); a win-win situation for you and your addicted loved one!
